Data Analyst

What to expect

You are going to analyse internal stakeholder requirements for information and analytics needs, identify pain points and areas of improvements in the current setup. We expect you to gather, document, and analyse options to meet business needs and solve issues, investigate and analyse business problems and opportunities and designing future data management requirements, processes and capabilities. We need a person that will cooperate with Engineers, Product Managers, and decision-makers to understand data needs and manage Data Warehouse and functional DataMart development plans for different subject areas. We empower our people to bring their own ideas to the table, everyone has a real influence within the business and contributions are truly valued, you will need to communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders, and we will listen.

Responsibilities

• Process evaluation, mapping, and improvements design by evaluating methodologies and assuring best practices implementation
• Performing data quality monitoring activities
• Utilising a variety of information sources and associated tools and technical skills
• Developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies that optimise data quality
• Producing and presenting data in a meaningful way for incorporation into client communications

Qualifications

• A strong background in advanced mathematics, in particular in probability theory and statistics
• Excellent problem-framing, problem solving and project management skills, willingness to be flexible and adapt to change quickly
• Passionate about process improvement, accuracy and detail
• You must be able to think critically, to look at the big picture and spot what is missing, taking advantage of it to propose improvements and deliver business insights.
• Proficiency in a programming language of your own choice (R, Python, Matlab, etc.), and previous experience efficiently conducting research and creating ad hoc reports.
• Have a working knowledge of SQL and the ability to extract data, write queries, and build reports and joining tables
• Experience with noisy, dirty and unstructured data, experience in Protobuf or JSON as a datasource
• Excellent debugging, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills
• Be eager to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them

Hiring process

Each application will be reviewed and we will confirm the application has been received by email. Next you will receive an email whether you have passed to the next round containing the practical assignment (3 tasks) that will test your knowledge of SQL and analyst qualifications. There is no limitation on your assignment, upon delivery we will respond to you within a week if you have passed to the interview round. The final 3rd round consists of an interview (45-60 min). This is a relaxed conversation with occasional practical questions testing wether you are a good fit to our team. If you pass to the final round, then we will send you feedback as you were from our perspective. If you're not the one, we will wish you good luck somewhere else, if you are the one, we will be excited you joining us, and you will receive the email explaining the next steps, such as deciding on your first day, onboarding buddy, equipment, MultiSport card and other benefits.
